NEWBERRY DESIGN

about Sasha
Sasha has had a passion for design all her life. She was brought up surrounded by art, traveling a lot, thus was influenced by all types of architecture and design around the world.
She completed coursework at the The Boston Architectural Center and worked as an intern in an Interior Design firm in the Boston, MA area. She learned the essentials of good space planning, complimentary color choices, and overall furniture layout. After receiving a B.A. in Psychology from UWM, she went on to pursue a career in Pharmaceutical Sales, yet found her self redesigning every physician waiting room she was in. Sasha's design experience, degree, and knowledge gained as a Sales Representative gives her the skills as a current business owner to have a keen ear for listening to clients' needs, while staying within budget.
To assist her clients with all aspects of their house needs, she is also a certified home stager and licensed real estate agent.
Sasha enjoys working on any project size or type. Some clients simply are in need of a paint color analysis, pillow or art style refresh, while others need a complete house design. With seasonal changes or upcoming guests visits, she also enjoys helping her clients prepare their house with new accessories to freshen up rooms. Staging houses for resale is vitally important for gaining a return on one's investment. She enjoys working with a client on a dream home/condo, a vacation place, a short-term rental or staging needs. A house is the biggest investment most of us make in our life, thus carefully designing a house for one's own enjoyment, while keeping in mind future resale value is what she aims for with every project.
Utilizing the right interior design allows one to feel at home, relaxed, and inspired by their surroundings, while keeping the investment of their home strong for the future. Sasha's goal as an interior designer is to create spaces for clients that best fit their current needs, using design to inspire them. Every home has a purpose, as it sets the stage in one's life at a given time.
The reason she chose the name "Newberry Design" was its meaning. Newberry means: A new, fortified place. On a personal level, Newberry Blvd is one of her favorite streets in East Milwaukee, the place that she considers "home". The basis behind all of her design work is to create places that exude new beginnings for people that also exemplify strength. She works to make design choices that will best represent what is most important for her client to feel "at home".
